Arrogance is poison,
For it kills the heart,
Deadens the mind,
and ruins the soul.
I felt arrogant then,
Feeling like a queen,
In a crowd of others,
Who I thought were peasants.
Oh how wrong was I,
The people I've degraded,
The people I've compared to soil and dirt,
Were in fact diamonds and golds.
Only then I knew,
Different people have a dissimilar shine,
That made them unique;
and special.
Arrogance fools our soul,
While humbleness makes us see;
Makes us contemplate;
with clarity.
